Our story
Starling Creations was founded in 2021 following The Town Seamstress as a way to delve deeper into our creativity and add intentionality to designing bridal looks. Our focus is on creating custom bridal accessories with you at the center of every design. Our bridal pieces are custom made to order and designed to tell your unique love story.
We believe ‘Bridal’ feels different to everyone, and we love helping people figure out what bridal feels like to them. Since our founding, we’ve helped hundreds of people make bridal style their own. From hand dyeing fabric and glitter spray, to custom capes, veils, garters, handfasting chords, and sleeves, and even design consultation. If you have a vision, we’re here to help.

Every Starling Creations piece is as unique as the bride that wears it and made by hand in our small-town, woman owned studio, here in Mt. Vernon, Washington.
We are committed to doing our part to make the wedding industry more sustainable and ethical both in our day-to-day office practices, but also in our design and sourcing processes.
Kristin Groberg Griffith
A local of Island/Skagit county who loves the beautiful backdrop of nature we get to call home, Kristin is a master tailor and has been in the Formal Wear Tailoring Industry for over a decade. She is excited to help turn any gown into “the one”. Her passion is helping women look and feel their best on one of the biggest days of their lives.
Tired of corporate nickel-and-dime culture, Kristin chose to create The Town Seamstress to help bring alterations back to a local, human-led place. She is more than happy to try to accommodate any request, and prides herself on making everyone feel welcome.
Kristin was amazing to work with. She made my wedding dress dreams come true. She gave honest, helpful feedback and worked so hard to make sure I felt confident, comfortable, and beautiful.
